Regni
Oa's largest and most distant moon, Regni is a frigid celestial body with a nitrogen and methane-based atmosphere. That atmosphere lends it a bluish-green tinge and a vaguely blurry complexion in the night sky. Because of its distance from Oa, it appears to be approximately the same size as Furiam from the planet's surface, which is to say substantially larger than Earth's moon appears from the Earth's surface.
Cycle
Regni circles Oa every 17 days and is not tidally locked to the planet. One side of the moon is somewhat stormier than the other, resulting in an aesthetically pleasing swirling effect (see above) as opposed to the more uniform teal glow of the reverse side.Cultural Interpretations
Because of its calming, gentle light, which stands in contrast to the chaotic flickering of Furiam and the dull, often eclipsed surface of Oko, many civilizations have attributed positive attributes to Regni and nights when it is ascendant in the sky. It is also common for cultures to develop mythologies around these celestial bodies, and Regni is often linked to concepts of motherhood, virginity, peace and good fortune. One notable exceptions is Orcish culture, in which has developed a negative connotation as a thief-in-the-sky: a treacherous god that tried to usurp the role of the divine sun. The High Elves legendarily believed that Regni was a mirror image of Oa, complete with a sister race of Elves. Rather than it being a clear article of faith, legend has it that the High Elves themselves disputed whether it was sacrilege to devise a way to reconcile with their kin; whether Regni was the location of the afterlife; or whether it was the ultimate aim of each civilization to make contact with one another. Modern Gnomish optics have cast grave doubt on the possibility that there is, or ever could have been, any life on Regni.
