Torgerojas Steamworks M5 class 0-105.3 (Silver Dragon)

The TR-M.5 (plate number 0-105.3), nicknamed the Silver Dragon, is a Torgerojas Steamworks M5 class type locomotive, and current world record horlder for fastest steam engine.
The M5 class is a high-speed triple-cylinder design with a 4-6-4 wheelbase, designed to routinely exceed 100 MPH, but the Silver Dragon boasted a new wind-tunnel-tested casing designed by acclaimed engineer Na Nicte Yaotl Xquiq and manufactured in a joint effort with Ixubal Aeronautics.
The engine is steel-made, with distinctive silver and grey livery and black wheels with steel trim.

Record attempts

Fastest steam locomotive

The world record attempt for fastest steam locomotive was started at 13:15 on 5.921-08-15, using the express route between Yunlilcalo and Nunotos. A maximum speed of 129.3 MPH was recorded at 13:42 on the downward grade of the Lac Olinna-Exarlattar, between mileposts 112 and 113, breaking UMIL A95.5548's 1920 record by 1.2 MPH.

Longest journey by a single locomotive

Since setting the world record, the Silver Dragon was retired from regular passenger service, running special 'express+' services until 1924, when it began touring the world, starting from Ixubal Aeronautics' fabrication shed in Ayalolot, Uazatco, and ending in Chios, Chalcia -a distance of over 11,000 miles. Upon completion, the engine will also hold the world record for longest journey by a single locomotive.

Loss and recovery

At 21:48 on the night of 5.925-03-22, a C5 earthquake struck the Kankai highlands as the Silver Dragon entered a tunnel southbound from Kueino. The train subsequently failed to make its scheduled arrival at Masfana. All efforts to locate the engine, crew, and passegers failed.
On 5.925-03-26, the train was found in a siding in Seven Gates station, Khabt, 170 miles distant. The crew and passsengers were safe but asleep, with no memory of the disappearance. No plausible explanation has been given for the event and no organisation has claimed responsibility.
