City-ception and General-ly putting things back in order

General Summary

Examining the complex of the sub-sub city (city-ception) further we encounter an abomination of a giant, unlock barriers that hide a stash of prior world devices and encounter several Philethis who appear to emerge from crumbling away statues (very detailed , terrified appearing statues) - beings that speak in cryptic phrases that are rumoured to be remnants of one of the past worlds and appear in association with great historical events and turning points (not involved in, appearing simply to be observers).   Once we complete our explorations of what is accessible of the sub-sub city we return to our obelisk to install our new artifact and ask Harald to return our own faces to us (declining his offer of "improvements"). Once this is completed Hamilcar takes us to meet with the General whom he simply tells us he trusts completely (not letting us know that she is his mother). He present our evidence and explanations of the doings of the Monks of Mitos and final fate of Kolos while Fira offers (likely not so helpful) technical digressions any time anything vaguely numenera is brought up. The General takes his word seriously and by the time we are readying to leave is already preparing to put together a team to root out the imposters.   During our visit Hamilcar also briefly mentions our visit to the Clock and Sada Emidu , letting her know that a man named Lotrius, who apparently had been considered a prominent figure in the past, was not encountered and seemed unknown, at least in some areas of the city. The General seems to welcome this news.   Though the interactions between Hamilcar and his mother are very formal and impersonal Fira does note their physical resemblance and apparently long shared history and, as they leave their audience with her, out of idle curiosity asks if they are related, when Hamilcar firmly denies it with a sharp tone, Fira shrugs and says, "I was only curious. You resemble one another".   We remand our prisoners into the keeping of the General and over the next few days her taskforce turns the leadership of the city upside down as they root out both the imposters and those close to them, the structure and balance of the power of the city changing nearly overnight. The town buzzes with the goings on, interspersed with rumours of sightings of Philethis showing up to observe the goings on and disappearing. At the close of the affair Hamilcar receives word that our names, and those of his family members, have been completely cleared (though he is given a stern warning to remove the unlicensed/illegal arsenal he has stored in his home from the city bounds, which he does, relocating his items to the obelisk).
