Bisafa Earldom
The Bisafa Earldom covers just over half the Island of XXXXXX. It is also the northernmost province of Habuda. The province is not very hospitable with almost all the economic activity being fishing.
The climate is cold and damp in the summer and frozen in the winter. No one wants to be based here. The locals have developed a unique culture.
Culture
Most of Bisafa is of the Besket culture expect for the capital Mateer which is Eurabic.
Because of the awful climate a lot of people seek to move away. Those that stay take pride in being able to suffer through anything. The same is true for the next door Alma Sal county that shares the island with Bisafa

Surprisingly, 235,000 live in Bisafa county, no one understands why. Most people live in small fishing villages though the city of Bout has a population of 25,588

Bout is a centre of shipbuilding, though they need import the wood
Trade & Transport
People get around on ship during the months the sea is not frozen. In the long winter months they move about using sleighs drawn by dogs.
As for trade, it is mainly salted fish and the ships they construct in Bout.
