Push!"-A mage preparing with her students to divert a wistorm. Wist, too little and nothing works; the world is just chaos. Too much and order takes over form, releasing everything from their material forms. A balance must be found, between the razor wire of chaos and the dull monotony of order. Those who can wield this thread are called mages. Mages are the center of life on Nornlain, wherever Humans are found. Some mages protect those without much magic from both wistbeast and Wistorms. Most mages either serve in the military, or study for a university. In either position, they gain the power and responsibility to uphold the law of magic. Those who wield the law of magic are called magistrates.
