Session 10 - Seaport
General Summary
After Thier encounter with the ghost ship The Durmont and freeing the ship of the effects of the Cursed Locket, the Legend Seekers continued their journey to Seaport to find the Alchemist Margol, who created the special ink that becomes visible when sprinkled with crushed Onyx.
Having lived in Freeport, the Docks of Seaport were no shock to the group. In typical Twil Fashion the adventurers weren't there long before they had to deal with several crisis's. The first involved an escaped hill giant that broke out of his cage while being transported off the Docks. The group was able to deal with the creature swiftly possibly saving the live of many.
Soon after that they ran into a group of xenophobes who were accosting an elf. The elf said he had seen them take a young elven girl, but they denied any wrong doing and attacked the elf. The party stepped in to help and subdued the racist thugs until the authorities arrived to take them. They discovered the men were part of a group called Humanity Ascendant. A group who feels that humans are a superior race and have the backing of some powerful people.
The Elf they helped turned out to be Lonithal Sylna, the owner of a local Inn called The Dark Dog which he runs with his sister Ketlynelle Sylna. He asked the party back to his inn and offered them a place to stay while in Seaport. The party accepted but had to resupply in the city first.
The group did some shopping and returned to the Dark Dog, only to find a crowd of Humanity Ascendant thugs outside the inn looking to settle the score with Loni. The group jumped in to help and were also aided by a mysterious figure called the Midnight Raven. They killed or drove off all of the thugs and found out that the Midnight Raven was actually here looking for Ketty. Loni's sister had asked the Raven to find out more about the elf girl and the vigilante had discovered that Humanity Ascendant had been grabbing up people and taking them to the Meercat Inn, a place known to cater to the group. Ketty told this to the Legend Seekers who promised to help.
That night, the party broke into the meercat and found a way into a basement, where there were several prisoners being help against their will. They were attacked by more Humanity Ascendant thugs but managed to rid the world of them. the prisoners turned out not to be Elves, but Fey. They explained they were taken from Torf, and brought here, but they did not know why. While they were here, they were subject to the cruel intentions of the Humanity Ascendants ruffians though.
The party search the place and found a letter from none other than Margol, the alchemist they came to Seaport to find. They used an old escape tunnel to get the fey out of the Inn and back to the city.
