Sesison 0: Welcome to the Society Report 1/28/2023
General Summary
This was the first meeting of all the party. They arrived at the The Society Freeport Chapter House for their swearing in to find that it was actually the 300th anniversary of the Society. The gathering was much larger than they expected with important people from all over the city. There was a speech and a swearing in and then they were quickly set to work, realizing most of the people were not there for them but to socialize.
They met Aaron Chesterfield, their Sponsor who basically explained the even was a political event that the society had to endure to ensure that they kept people in the city happy enough to not get too involved in the society's affairs. He then told them a little bit about how the society worked. During the conversation, Lev Betefiore joined them. He was a more famous member of the Society and the father of Callum Bêtefiore one of the groups members. During the conversation he was quick to point out that his son was well groomed to be an adventurer, and should have their first mission easily under control.
Aaron told them their first task was related to The Knight and the Black Rose legend. A baldric clasp with the family crest of the Griffon family turned up in a The Pawn Shop and the party was to find out more about it, where it came from and if there was any other evidence leading back to the legend. The soon were off on their first adventure.
The Owner of the Pawn Shop was a despicable person, and he was easily bribed into giving up the name of the person who sold him the piece of Jewelry. A Gambler called Wheetley who lived in the Docks of Scurvytown. They ran into some trouble while looking for him, but fortunately Mr Gray had some knowledge of how the gangs of Scurveytown worked, They discovered that Wheetley would most likely be in the Gambling hall known as The Blood Den.
They headed over there only to find a topless woman being literally thrown from the building into the street. Having "Lost her shirt" and everything else of value, she was in dire straits, so it was only natural for the group to help her. No good deed goes unpunished though, as she tried to pick Aurelia Midwynter's pouch but she was caught and promised to help them if they didn't hurt her. If fact she already did as the Weetley they were looking for was her.
