Grand Master Crafter Artin Elerora
Artin is the patriarch and master crafter of House Elarora. Feng Grimson was known as the greatest weaponsmith to ever walk Nor, and many say he learned most of his craft from Artin Elarora. Artin has been studying metal crafting for over 800 years. While house Starym discovered many of the way to combine metals and create the special materials elves are known for, Artin perfected the craft. He even found new way of using Mithril, a metal which Elves had been using form crafting since it was first discovered.
Artin was born into house Elarora and has always been fascinated by crafting. He says that creating things for other people to enjoy or use is the greatest gift one can bestow. He has trained in all types of crafting; working leather and hides, working cloth, wood, creating jewelry from precious metals, but his first love metalworking. He says to make a great tool or weapon one must find the right piece of metal to start. He feels that taking a bar that wants to b a hammer and making it into a blade will create a subpar blade. He has to start with the right nit of metal, in which he can see and feel the finished product. While this doesn't make sense to most crafters, one can't deny the outcome of Artin's work.

Artin is lean but well muscled due to the work at is forge. He is surprisingly strong for an elf of his size.

Personal history
Artin started crafting when he was young and has always shown an aptitude. He was born into house Elarora, and grew up around other crafters. AS he grew he was tested in several areas like most young elves, and always seem more interested in the tools of the trade than the trade. When he was old enough he had to choose a craft to study, but instead he chose to all of them. He would split his time working with many Master Crafters. His teachers were amazed at the quality of work he did even split among so many different typed of crafting. When he got older, the Grand Masters took him aside and told him that he had much skill, but if he truly wished to master a craft he would have to choose. He had the ability to be one of the greatest, but that could only happen if he narrowed his focus. He chose metal working.
Artin spent most of his life after that studying and perfecting his craft. While he still dabbled in other types of crafts, he spent the majority of his with metal. He made it a habit of question the methods of crafting that came were standard and experimented in different things. New ways of making alloys, New ways of Quenching, even new ways of hammering and forging. While many of these did not ear fruit, Artin advance the craft more than anyone had in generations. Not only did he keep the est methods, but even found other uses for old methods that he had improved upon when possible.
It was determined well in advance that he would become the leader of House Elarora when the current Matriarch passed on. His knowledge of all the different types of crafting, the materials needed, how to use then most efficiently, made him the perfect choice. The fact that he was also the greatest MEtal crafter anyone had ever seen was a bonus.
Since becoming the head of House Elarora he has served the elves faithfully. He rarely leaves the city, usually only for expecting the quality of discovered resources or for help with engineering where he has to see the issue. He would much rather say at his workshop.

Artin received the standard education that any young elf received, though he was never good at much besides practical work. He never excelled at military arts, or history, and instead focused much more on learning about how thing are put together. He is a master engineer along with being a Grand Master crafter.
Accomplishments & Achievements
Artin has advanced the art of metalcrafting in his time. His largest contribution was the creation of a mithril alloy that is now used for the weapons and armor of some elves. He discovered a way to prepare the metal for easy enchanting, allowing it to hold a much more powerful enchantment than had been possible before.

Artin, like most elves wishes for the best for all his people. He feels that if he provides the elves with the best crafted goods it increases their odd on being successful in whatever they do.

Artin is an only child, and both of his parents have passed on to Arvendar. Artin's wife died in an accident. He has a single daughter named Elasha. There is talk that his wife and daughter have human blood, but if so it is not obvious.
