Scope
The motivation behind building Nonagarn
I want to build a whimsical and fun world where there are plenty of adventurers and interesting places to discover.
The goal of the project
I created this world is to help me write a new story. I want to give my readers a whimsical and optimistic experience while exploring the world, like in One Piece. There's also a lot of history in Dankar that I'd like to uncover.
Nonagarn's Unique Selling point
Dankar is a place where everything should be in balance. Every aspect of this world is interconnected through the the spiritual and physical realms.
However, the past remains relatively unknown and people are disconnected from the spiritual realm. Some cultures are very individualistic, and others ignore the individual for societal gains. Dankar explores what happens when the world has huge imbalances, and what they means for everyone living there.
Theme
Genre
Dankar is a high fantasy world with 20th century technology merged with Age of Sail. All the technology is fueled by people's powers, and powers are fueled by the beings of the spiritual world.
Reader Experience
Dankar is optimistic and mystical, with many new places to explore, from the floating islands above the mountains to the lands that have seen better years. Every new place has their own secrets and histories waiting to be uncovered. Most places are very pleasant, but the journeys, the islands and even the waters can be quite dangerous.
Reader Tone
Dankar is a Knightglow setting where things are occasionally unpleasant. Many people dream to explore the world as it is, so there are a lot of ordinary explorers who can have bad experiences.
Occasionally unruly, the driving combined efforts of groups can collectively alter the world and shape its very nature. Organizations are actively seeking to improve the livelihood of eveyone, even if met with frequent opposition.— Knightglow

Character Agency
People have a lot of power to change the world, even if they don't realise it at first. Although one person can't create global change, they can change themselves and the people around them. When people band together, they can enact larger changes, but they'll have to be careful of the consequences of their actions.
Focus
Technological Influence
Powers fuel technology and technological advances grow people's powers. However, the less in-tune a country is with their powers and soul, the worse their technology and influence becomes.
Society & Satisfaction
Working for the betterment of society is a noble goal, but how satisfied are the people in that society?
Discovery & Exploration
There are a lot of things the ordinary person doesn't know about the world, or even their own city, which can be dangerous. Curiosity and creativity are two of the best traits one can have in navigating the world at large.
Powers & Identity
Powers are the life of this world, and are intrinsic to a person's identity. Jobs, fighting style and even personalities are often power-specific.
