Switchblades

Switchblades are small melee weapons used for fighting in close-combat battles. They are double-edged, making them useful for multiple rapid attacks. While they are used in much the same way as a dagger, what makes switchblades different from daggers is the fact that the double blades allow people to harm their opponents quicker since they can access more points of contact simultaneously.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

The most important part of a switchblade is the metal that it is made from. Switchblades made for humans tend to be made using steel and other metals that give the weapon enough strength and edge to be effective as a fighting tool.   However, switchblades specifically made for Humanoids are made of xenolium, an alloy that absorbs the energy around it. While this could lead to problems, xenolium is mixed with other metals that inhibit a lot of its energy-absorption abilities. This leaves the ability for the metal inside the switchblade to connect with a person's powers by absorbing the power's energy.

Manufacturing process

In order to make switchblades, people must mine the metals needed for the blades. This could be either xenolium or steel.

Significance

The type of weapon a person uses depends on who they are and this translates to their fighting style as well. Switchblades are significant for people who are quick attackers and prefer giving sharp pains to their opponents.
