Eberek Hovel

Eberek Hovel, by the humans sometimes called "the six mill town", is a settlement within the dwarven borderland, about a days walk to the southwest along the road from Southpass, and north of the dwarven border post settlement called the Golden Dwarf Inn.
As of the year 158, or 533 of the human calendar, the village have around 300 inhabitants out of which 50 are dwarves while 250 are humans. The village is a dwarven settlement, similar in design to a more advanced human town, with masoned stone walls protecting buildings within. The village is somewhat known for its statue of the dwarf Liftrasa, hero of the goblin wars.
The dwarves run the village with a tension between the two races, where the humans have a reduced legal rights as second class citizens. Most of the dwarfs are owners of land in the area that they rent to human farmers. The dwarves also hold claims and stake in the local mine. By law a hireling is guaranteed a living wage while employed. Employment is regulated by contract. The dwarf landlords also have property within the walls that they rent to human traders, shopkeepers and the like. Different establishments, both dwarf and tenant humans have rooms for rent, but much is somewhat segregated, not so much by law as by preference.
Most humans liv at the edge of the village, in wooden buildings, many of which against the wall. Some buildings are lumber, the poorer ones of wooden plank, most of which are found in double row shacks, mostly on the southeastern side by the south gate.
The mine is located in the north western part of the village and also double as a burial site, where the dead are entombed in alcoves within the already mined walls.
The 'main street' lead straight through the village-town in a north-south direction, passing the main square where dwarven temple, inn and jail tower lay. 'East-west street' intersect at the square. Temple street lead north-northeast from the temple. A round street run along the inside of the wall divided into four quarters. 'Mining street' lay to the north-west, 'Liftrasa street' to the south-west, 'Merchant street' lay to the north-east and 'Worker street' to the south-east. Many of the humans have livestock, chickens, some own a cow, and there are some pigpens. The dwarfs take in rent and tax. Alot of people do some amount of small time brewing, with varying success and where taxed if sold by humans.
