The Ghost Samurai

This name can refer to either the individual or the group, the Ghost Samurai is what can only be described as a spirit seeking something, they claim to serve the Emperor of Japan and obey his command.
None of them seem to have a name, so they are only refer as the "Ghost Samurais", they are a total of 44 individuals and are very similar to each other, but their leader is easily recognisable by his ornamented helmet with a crecen moon and a flower on it.
In the eyes of the international community they are seem as super humans, but that hardly described them, they have an appearance of a spirit, a ghost or an undead, to many people these individuals aren't even humans, they think they are inmortal beings that are bound to this world by a curse, what ever the case, for the investigators of the world, these individuals are a mystery.

Founding member

After the defeat of Japan in WW2, the newly formed, The League of Heroes offer a seat on their organisation as a sign of good will and compromise with the peace and rebuild of the world, Emperor Akihito decide that the Ghost Samurai was the best option to represent them in the organisation, by that time, many of the Japanese super humans have died fighting mostly the forces of the USA and some more decided to join their brothers in the Kamikase attacks, The Ghost Samurai was the last one left that could potentially occupied this position.
Although relations were really hard to come by, the little communication the Samurai had with others members make things complicated, the Samurai will only act if the actions were to benefit directly the lands of Japan and only would act on benefit of others if directly commanded by the Emperor, after just three years, the Emperor call back the Samurai and a newly train super human was send instead, after this, the Samurai and his legion decided to go back to the ruins of their temple and rest there until his Emperor call for then again.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Their appearance is one of a ghost, a spirit or an undead, a being that resembles no life, but a body possessed by an unyielding force.
Their bodies are usually cover in full armour, traditional Japanese samurai armour, this armour is totally black with a burned texture all over it.
In the little skin they show, their skin seems to be totally burned as well, their eyes are of a bright glowing blue, and their face,when ever is posible to see, is more close to a skull to that of a human.
They don't speak, by the exception of their leader, he produces a heavy breath sound all the time, like asphyxiation sounds.
Some times, is posible to see like a black smoke emanate from them.

Special abilities

As their very appearance make it look like, they are undead, spirits that for some reason are able to stay in this world, because of this, they do not eat, sleep or feel any sort of pain. They seem to be able to stay on ground as much as underwater,.
However, they are not exactly ghost, even when they are refer as so, they cannot go through walls or even have any sort of ghastly form.
But in any case, the how they move is still a mystery, they just simply seems to disappear and apear when ever they are need it, all in a cloud of black smoke.

Specialized Equipment

Their wear full traditional Japanese samurai armour, its completely black and with burned textures all over it. Each samurai has a ornamented helmet with some motives, most of then are about flora and fauna of Japan, the helmet wore by the leader is the most detailed and ornamented of them.
They all use only a single katana, whose blade is pitch black emanating some smoke, for what has been seem of them, this blade is able to cut anything with ease, when they cut human limbs they left a burned end preventing their victim to bleed out, however very few people has survived any encounter with them.

Personal history

According to legends, in the past this samurai was a well known samurai rising in power to take the title of Shogun, but a betrayal of his most close friends would cause his death.
His betrayers set fire on the temple he was in and start killing the few loyalists of his, in the last effort this Samurai swear to take revenge on his enemies and condemn his own actions of codicie and blind ambitions that put him in this situation, he ask for the forgiveness of the true ruler or his land, the Empero of Japan, the one true ruler that can exist. shortly after the temple fell in ruins, a burst of spirits from the bottom of the temple came out, and then this Samurai and other 43 of his brethren step out like the individuals we know today as "The Ghost Samurais"
Since then and from mow on, this legion would came out of the world of the dead to assists the Emperor of Japan when he most need it.
Since them and only on about 6 occasions he and his legion has been called out, the last one in the WW2, when this army would join the armies of the Imperial Japan fighting in the front lines against the enemies of the Emperor, at the beginning it was the Chinese, but after the attack on Pearl Harbour the focus of the legion would be fighting the forces of the USA.

Morality & Philosophy

Despite obey the command os their Emperor, the legion has some rules that they never break.
They don't kill children or unarmed women.
If their enemies yield and throw their weapons they spare their lives, but if they then try to trick them they will kill that individual.
They don't torture any individual and when kill is done in the fastest and painless way posible, usually decapitation.
They seem to respect nature leaving mostly intact in their bloody encounters.
As soldiers, they seem to only answer to the Emperor and will decide to not talk with anyone else unless is dictated by the Emperor himself, and even then, only their leader will speak, telling the others what are they going to do, not following any other orders.
