Azure Defenders
The Azure Defenders was a group of adventurers travelling around Terios and trying to help it’s citizens. They made their living by the rewards they received for their help and have in recent years accumulated some renown. However it took some time for them to assemble the group.
During the battle of Varos both Alessa and Darlahne got wounded and needed time to recover. Both of them got treated by Osric. Grateful for his service Alessa and Darlahne travelled with Osric once the war came to an end.
The group decided to help the land recover from the war. When the king of Terios made his decreet to reward adventurers helping out they decided to travel to more remote regions and see what they could do. Their travels took them to the forests near the Endra Swamps where a Goblinoid raiding band was terrorizing the area. Once they found tracks of the group they quickly saw that a nearby druid enclave was wiped out. The only survivors were Nimble Shadow and Emilio who managed to hide higher up in the trees just in time. They joined up with the group to take their revenge. Once the Goblinoids were defeated the group decided to stay together and would later become known as the Azure Defenders.
The group became even more publicly known after dealing with the menace known as the Glutton Pair, a hill giant and his pet giant toad,who were raiding trade routes between Monesdia and Carthen. After hearing about problems in the east and the arrival of the Archonic Order in Ostend , Alessa suggested travelling there. They made some new fame with fights in the underground arena in Ostend. Building on their previous popularity they quickly managed to bring in quite some money for the Arena. One of the fans was Aiden who decided to meet them especially after the fight with the tyrannosaur. He therefore followed them into the sewers when they left together with the adventurers to find the doppleganger hideout.
The group managed to get rid of the dopplegangers in the ruined Dwarven stronghold but Alessa died in the process by an accident caused by Emilio. Even though she was revived by Osric she was furious at Emilio. Once they were on the surface they got in a huge fight which ended with Alessa leaving to join the Archonic Order. Emilio who felt responsible left as well. Darlahne and Osric therefore decided to join the Vanguard to help those in need since a group of three was too small. Nimble however didn't want to join them and wanted to stay with the new adventuring group.
