Wild Elf Species in Nilam | World Anvil

Wild Elf

It's said that the Wild Elves (Torva'Wio) earned their name because Wood Elves was already taken, and they are wild indeed.   Unknown to history for Ages, the Wild Elves emerged in the Third Age, apparently having been the catalyst for the exile of the Wood Elves from the The Torva'Ne in some sort of pseudo Civil War.   The Wild Elves match their name quite well, being even more in tune with the natural world and its magic than the Wood Elves. While a Wood Elf may be born with a cute pair of antlers or grow a mossy beard, all Wood Elves show signs of their natural affinity. Almost all Torva'Wio have skin colors matching that of the forest, whether it be a deep summer tree green, a deep autumnal brown, or anything besides. This skin color can even change with the seasons or the Torva'Wio's mood, depending on the individual Wild Elf. And while their hair is often like other Elven hair, it can sometimes grow out as leaves, moss, or other natural materials.   While Torva'Wio aren't an unheard of sight in Kalin, they are still strange and uncommon enough to be wondrous. Except to a Wood Elf, who may view them with a deep suspicion...at best.
