The Barrel Boys

The Barrel Boys were a group of adventurers pulled into Nexus from Toril by Dumathoin, Dwarven God of Mining, after their achieved minor fame restoring a lost mine. Disguised as a regular dwarf, Dumathoin hired the group to investigate an underground tomb that contained the Black Quintus Gem. Once they had the gem, an earthquake started shaking the area and they fled through the tunnels. The "earthquake" was actually Dumathoin moving them through the Plane of Earth and when they emerged from the tunnels, they found themselves in a new world.
A magic rock they found in the tombs released a chwinga spirit (which they promptly nicknamed Wang) who explained there were more Quintus Gems and that the magic rock could find them. With no clear way back home, they decided to quest for these gems but quickly learned they were not the only ones interested. The treasure hunt against the devil Dunames and demon Cedra eventually turned to full-scale war with the Barrel Boys claiming 5 of the Quintus Gems before the final battle.
When Dunames attacked the nation of Jezero's capital in the bid to claim the Gold & Silver Gems, the Barrel Boys defeated her (also defeating Cedra in the process) and ultimately stopped the Blood War from spilling into Nexus. With that task accomplished and the Quintus Gems (mostly) in secure hands, they went their separate ways to pursue personal goals they had discovered for themselves over the course of their journey.
The adventurer Yandhi was the namesake of the group, due to his tendency to hide inside a barrel carried around by his half-brother Marshall.
