Raddon

Raddon is a duergar who runs the Deep Spire's brewery (and the attached alehouse) and is said to drink so much of his stock that he'd have twice the ale to sell if he stopped. It is also said that he's never been sober for a day in his adult life and his slurred Dwarven is extremely difficult for any non-native speaker to understand.

Journey Into the Underdark Arc

The adventurers first met Raddon at The Hiding Place tavern, where he was engaged in a drinking contest with Bertrand Thaig. Raddon looked ready to get rowdy and received a stern warning from Molly Antazir that he'd be banned for life if he did any more property damage within the tavern. After letting out a long belch (and Bertrand passed out behind him), Raddon excused himself saying his lunch shift was over and he needed to get back to his brewery.
A few days later, Raddon met Mott and Gobo while they were out drinking and decided to join the pair. An idea suddenly swirled through his alcohol-addled mind and he managed to convince his new drunken friends it would be hilarious to fish the dead mind flayer out of the harbor, string it up, and charge people to use it like a piñata. While they were able to bribe their way past the Tideborne Tribe guard who saw them doing this, they were less lucky with the Sword Dancer who caught them when the cadavers arm fell out from under the tarp while they were carrying it upstairs. While the guard was busy holding Mott and Gobo with either hand, Raddon managed to grab the cadaver and escape. He had no memory of these events when confronted by the Sword Dancers the next morning at his brewery and they put out a notice to look out for the odor of rotten meat while glaring at Raddon.
