Clogwyn Prison

Clogwyn Prison is an ancient dwarven structure, its history dating back to when mountain dwarves still inhabited Charwell Fortress. When they abandoned the fortress, so too did the abandon the prison. And just like the fortress, it sat empty for many years. Unlike the fortress, however, no one else every laid claim to the place on account of natural occurrences. Every so often, earthquakes will disrupt underground rivers and cause them to start feeding into the Black Loch. The prison was originally built on a low island, and as of 600 years ago the place was completely submerged. If anything of value is still down there, none have braved the waters of the Loch searching for it.

Journey Into the Underdark Arc

After Sunny was attacked by a drone created by his brother Haz, he tracked it's transmission signal. A map he procured of the Black Loch (with Mott's assistance) showed Clogwyn Prison as the location the signal was sent to. After making preparations, he rushed over with his friends in hopes of finding his brother. While they did not locate Haz, they did find several drones created by him that had slaughtered the fey living here. The lead drone was in the middle of dissecting a sea hag (having already dissected the other two members of her coven) when the adventurers came upon it.
Most of the drones were destroyed as the adventurers fought their way down the flooded tower, though several managed to flee. Searching the ruins, it seemed the hags had been operating here for some time before being attacked and overrun by the drones. Though the hags had created sharkjaw skeleton constructs to protect themselves, their guards proved useless as the hags had instructed them to attack living intruders, which the drones were not. As the adventurers returned to the top of the prison (which was still barely above water), they spotted the drone Squawk which heavily damaged their boat before flying off. After Sunny made repairs, they left the prison behind and returned to the Deep Spire to finish their recovery.
