Zilead the Gemstone Dragonborn

The Grand Historian (TBA). The Dreaded Sands.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Born to unknown parents in Aboirhogo and abandoned to die out in the coastal caves. He was found and raised by the Brass Dragon Idrat until we was a teen. Zilead was contacted by Zizvrer through a arcane aberration, telling him the location of an immensely powerful artifact Zizvrer had hidden nearby, Salonia's Staff. It's unknown how Zizvrer contacts people through history or what triggers these messages, but the leading theory is that he used a divine tool to peer into the future and seek for those with minds like himself to further his reach far beyond his ultimate death. Zilead received the staff returning to Idrat, the battle the followed lasted for many days and the destruction is still visible today across the shoreline with Zilead coming out victorious. Afterward, he went missing for many years, almost 14 decades, only to return at Ogagos to begin experiments of mass mind control on innocent people as Zizvrer did. Known as the Ogagos Incident, Zilead went to the once happy village and began developing Mura Water, selling the magical water as a miracle drug to the villagers. At first, crops grew better than ever, the child grew strong, and the elderly lived pain-free, but then Zilead had finished working on with the Mura a switch flipped. Everything the Mura touch stole the life of people, leaving them barely alive as famine quickly came over the town. Zilead before leaving hired a long-term ally from the city, Kameel, and together their raided the town's bank and brought major death to the local clergy. Moving to the mainland, Zilead formed the Adventure Initiative and began his hunt for magical artifacts. His wealth, power, and allies grew very fast, and anyone who tried to speak against his actions swiftly disappeared. Zilead proved to the people he was more than some person contacted by Zizvrer, but the one who would return Zion to the world he had built so long ago.

Morality & Philosophy

Zilead, unlike the shadow he follows, lacks a great moral code. Not to mean he recklessness kills or raids, but that he cares little about the ideas of Zizvrer's goals, more about making his mark on history. He does have a code of respect for allies, never betraying others that assist him, even as far in some occasions to hurt his great goal in order to help allies out. Many may see him slaying Idrat as a betrayal, but evidence suggests that she was harsh and abusive to Zilead has a child.

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

Zilead lived in the shadow of his birth, born with innate arcane magic and as an extremely rare race, a Gemstone Dragonborn. Zilead wishes to leave a legacy like that of Zizvrer's on that shapes the worlds forever as far as changing the nature of the divine. His name always followed by "the Gemstone Dragonborn" and he gravelly wanted to become more than his race.

Savvies & Ineptitudes

After spending several years alone in the harsh desert reading lost texts of arcana and history Zilead became one of the worlds' top experts on magic items and innate arcane magic, or sorcery. He also had a way with people, being able to get many people loyal to him for life without sacrificing anything for them, or using ideology to form his support. Lastly, Zilead had a mind for selling and trading goods, he just never had the time or the reason to take up life as a high-class merchant.

Social

Contacts & Relations

Zilead worked only in passing with equals in statue, wealth, and power. With one exception, although she was clearly his lesser in all accounts, evidence shows a clear view of Adeola Otota as an equal. Working closely with her for an extended period of time, even going out of each other's way to assist one another.

Family Ties

Zilead's original parents are lost to history, abandonment at birth, and no solid evidence of family line, but not without several Dragonborn families from Aboirhogo claiming kinship.

Religious Views

He seemed to attempt to follow any god he has not directly apposed, most likely to maintain a route for resurrection. However, has he grew desperate and mad he slowly began breaking codes one by one for his goals. He did seem to have favorites amongst the pantheon; Tempus, Elementum, Artem, Umbra, Libertas, and Gigas.   Anathemas Broken: Draco, Fabula, and Amare (Killing Idrat his guardian), Ferox, Honos, and Mecor (New Adventurer Initiative), Libra (Constantly getting involved to further self), and Mortale, Bellum, Deus, Curae, and Clypeus (The Ogagos Incident.)

Wealth & Financial state

Much of Zileads wealth came from his "New Adventure's Initiative," which at its core hired would be adventures to face the harsh Imeshuka Desert for magic items and historical artifacts he would sell to his many buyers across the seas. Although the first contact each group went on was a facade and set up to test those worth putting an investment on in his eyes, the up-sale value one single rare magical item being bided over by some of the richest groups in all of Zion made it well worth the effort financial. His wealth is estimated, in pure coins owned not net worth, is between 80,000 and 240,000 gold. So despite the claims of Eniola Kolapo being the wealthiest man in the area, Zilead was more likely richer, wrath by a little or a lot is still departed between historians.
