Pholinauts (FOL-ih-nots)

The clerical order of the god Pholimor. Recognized for their distinctive weaponry and Binding abilities, they have been a major clerical order whose historical influence rivaled the paladins of Aunon.

Goddess of Needle and Thread

The weapon of choice for a cleric of Pholimor is a 3 to 4-foot long needle called a Laufent. This doubles as both a weapon and an implement for stitching enormous tapestries called Abmitel which serve as wards against those who would oppose their god. The inspiration of this clearly stems from Pholimor's association with needlework and affiliated crafts. Stories regarding the rise of the order include grandmothers who chased away demons with their sewing needles posed as if they were lances.
Pholimor's clerics are especially skilled at Binding, a feat accomplished by the skilled weaving of their blessed threads. Large creatures, such as the demon Malie Hejiska, had been subdued with their abilities.

Forces Against Pholimor

Pholimor has notoriously many enemies ranging from the Giant peoples she oppressed to their own children. The Pholinauts are sworn to protect their god's ideals which may not always align with the greater good. In the year 1338, unrest between the government of Yise in Marzeine and the local order of Pholinauts erupted in a small civil war in which Pholimor herself made an appearance.
