Session 49 - Assault on Liberty Castle, Part 2
General Summary
Hamilton and Finn learned from Dak that the key in their possession would not free Osho from solitary. The correct key could only be found on the person of either Gavin or Corvus. Meanwhile, Sasha had a heartfelt reunion with Osho , where she convinced him to work with them to escape. Osho told Hamilton and Finn to make sure they take care of Sasha, as she trusts them.
After that, the party went back into the wine cellar and briefly rested. Kimbryn watched over the room, and used the Knights' negative perception of her to ward them away.
After the rest, the party snuck upstairs, where they saw Gavin Weaver chewing a Knight out for claiming to be sick. Gavin stormed off to his tower, and the party quickly came up with a plan to distract the Knights in the great hall so they could sneak into the tower. The plan worked, and the party went up to the tower, where they attacked Gavin.
After some attempts to intimidate and deceive him, the party successfully convinced Gavin to work with them, with the promise of giving him the seat of power after dealing with Corvus. To show his honesty, Gavin called an emergency meeting to distract many of the Knights.
The party snuck down the halls and looked through doors, and Sasha found Corvus himself in a training hall! He began walking toward the door, so she grabbed Hamilton and Finn and they all hid underneath some stairs. Corvus traveled up the stairs (where Sasha casted Hunter's Mark) and, when the party went after him, lost his trail. They looked into a few rooms, until they found Corvus' quarters. They all went inside and discovered it was a soundproof room. Suddenly, Corvus himself showed up at the door and revealed that he had been waiting for the party's arrival! He gave them the key they were searching for, then magically locked the door. With no other choice, the party prepared themselves for the fight of their lives!!
