Session 48 - Assault on Liberty Castle
General Summary
The party woke up in Skad, early in the morning, ready for action! After a hearty breakfast, Felk led them all to Partek, where they would infiltrate and use the settlement as a bridge to the Castle. On the way, the party saw Vort, the massive sinkhole, tearing the terrain apart inch by inch.
When they arrived at Partek, the party decided to send the Murk there into a frenzy, and use that as an opportunity to run up to the Castle walls. The plan went off without a hitch, apart from Finn not immediately scaring the Murks, and a Ranger spotting suspicious activity.
The party was able to sneak through the sewage pipe underneath the docks, where they fought a pack of Spiced rats.
After kicking their asses, the party pressed on, and found a wine cellar. There, they met Kimbryn, a Giant enslaved by the Knights. Both sides told their side of things, and agreed to help one another. Finn tried one of the experimental potions in the cellars, turning him purple briefly. Hamilton pocketed another potion.
The party progressed into the torture chamber, where they attempted to sneak up on Pins the Unquenchable, but they were too loud. He fought the party, but was ultimately defeated by Sasha. Finn was shaken up by Pins' horrific appearance, and due to the fact he appeared to be able to feel pain.
The party scooped up a key from Pins' belt and went into one of the other rooms, where they found the holding Cells. There, they met Dak, Kimbryn's boyfriend, and they began speaking with him before Sasha was distracted by the reference to Osho. Dak informed them that Osho was in solitary right nearby.
As Sasha approached Osho's cell, she recalled a memory of when Osho carved Sasha's first bow for her, and spoke of how he dreamed of being part of something big. This vision all came crashing down when Sasha saw Osho's current state: beaten, bloodied, and defeated.
