Heronis

God of Pleasure, Hedonism, and Corruption

"Life is too short to live by rules. What? Yeah, okay, I am immortal, good point - more time to have even more fun!"   Heronis is the infernal god of debauchery, hedonism, and the more limitless kind of carnal and pleasurable aspects of life. Sometimes called 'the horned one', he is associated with pleasure in all its excesses. He takes great enjoyment in influencing mortals in times of despair or boredom by dragging them to his level of hedonism. Heronis delights in all aspects of pleasure even when it reaches destructive levels such as drinking oneself to death or gambling until one is coinless. He is naturally repulsed by concepts like temperateness, chastity, moderation, and asceticism. Cults dedicated to Heronis take part in massive sex rituals or festivals of debauchery that last weeks. He is charming and charismatic, able to snare even the gods to his revelries - though once he has someone under his sway, harmless fun will descend into carnal obsession.
