Grand Prince
The acting ruler of Grimhallow is known as the Grand Prince, chosen from the princes of the highest ranking vampiric noble houses. Their rule is highly limited due to the level of autonomy and freedom of the various houses and covens in and out of Grimhallow. However, in terms of stately administration, they are considered the central authority. Though royal titles like prince and grand prince are used, Grimhallow is not a monarchy.
Pureblood Vampires
Sometimes called Old Bloods or Originals, the Pureblood Vampires make up the aristocracy of Grimhallow. They are the oldest living vampires living on the continent and they continue to operate according to the old laws of Kabara, much to the Night Father's pleasure. The Purebloods are the ruling minority and they consider themselves as distinct to the regular vampires as to non-vampires. It is said that some Pureblood Vampires are thousands of years old.
Vampires
A plurality of the principality, the standard vampires make up the citizenry of Grimhallow. They cannot move upwards socially very far ahead of direct elevated servants of the Purebloods. They often serve as artists, tutors, or, of course, operate in their own covens.
Thralls
The majority plurality of Grimhallow, the thralls are enslaved mortals and lesser vampires. Some are brain-dead serfs and others are a class of hereditary enslaved mortals of various races, usually kidnapped in vampire raids from neighboring lands. They do the vast majority of the work in Grimhallow and have no rights or social mobility whatsoever. Additionally, they serve as most of the food for the principality, being used as blood thralls as well as workers.
