They’re one of the lucky ones, able to fit in with society for the most part without suspicion. But their anxiety leaves them spending more time running away from things than heading towards any real achievements.

Personal history
Robin grew up the eldest of two, born to a neglectful mother with no father to speak of. Growing up they were often in charge of taking care of their younger sister and as such was forced to mature at a very young age -- partially due to this and partially due to the abuse they suffered under their stepfather and his own father.
When they were about 11 years old, they were found to be suffering from an eating disorder and self-harming, and was committed to inpatient care in a mental health facility. Robin cites this as one of the best times of their life where they were able to socialise and speak with professionals and other young children like themself without worrying about who was waiting to harm them. When they returned home, they found their sister eating plain bread and other snacks they had found instead of full meals, and so vowed never to land themself in a place they couldn't return from again.
This didn't last long, as they awoke to their Éla at age 14. They kept it secret for as long as possible, but once their sister was old enough to fend for herself they had to leave, afraid for their family's safety. They were found by Evelyn soon thereafter and brought to The Shelter.
