Draoi Wizarding Academies
Wizards form the backbone of Lonnhaven, both literally and figuratively. The Schools maintain the magical rail system responsible for travel and transport in the city, as well as selling their spellcasting services to citizens. Wizardry is an easy way to elevate your social status and wizards are looked up to by some citizens because of it.
There are eight different campuses representing each of the eight schools of magic: abjuration, conjuration, divination, enchantment, evocation, illusion, necromancy, and transmutation. Schools are open to all mages from all backgrounds to study.
Lonnhaven has regulations regarding what kinds of magic can be used outside of educational purposes. The individual schools regulate which spells are legal within city walls. For example, the Lasair family's continual flame spell is a legal evocation spell, while destructive spells like fireball are not considered legal. Reanimating the dead is not legal within the city under any circumstance, but necromancy spells such as speak with dead are allowed and used frequently in murder investigations. Most enchantment spells are not legal in the city as they remove a person's will.
