Starbase Null

Starbase Null Is out as far as you could go. In one sector of space. there has been many Expeditions an studies but there seems to be nothing out there past this hydro planet and red door star. The space station has been built to study or try to find or see what is out there in the void. There's a joke that goes on it says that is the literal the middle of nowhere of space. So this space is there to provide place for research and studies and maybe a slight chance that we might find what is out there in the void. It also is used to do scientifical studies that could be a little bit dangerous and other little projects.

Mostly just earthlings there are a few other races and scientifical teams to study the specific part of space

Government

It's a military scientific space station run by the earth. They do welcome other species to the study. so long as they share their work with them. They don't have to share with each other

Defences

Besides for being out in the middle of nowhere with no significant strategic value. Add some standard guns the five long cruisers have a decent so missiles and turns. So it is adequately defended.
