Culture and cultural heritage

The Albians see themselves as children of Dagda first and children of Bretonia second. Their loyality primarly belonging to their rough higlands and its ruler and often despising the "Weakness" of their southern siblings in face of the westurian invaders.
They were also one of the last big migration waves before the westurian invasion. During the Sarmatian migration period a few hundred years ago thousands of Sarmations settled down across Albia intermixing with the local celtic population that was primarly influenced by Dagda.
The intermixing with the suebian clans already living there made that most Albians have some degree of giants blood flowing within them. Also granting them a very diffrent cultural identity than the Bretonians in the south.

Shared customary codes and values

While being mostly famous for their bravery and strentgh there are also many capable artisans, traders and hunters among the Albians.
Their society is however structured around a strong sense of militarism, children are being taught to fight with a variety of weapons from an early age.
Something that however sets the albian clans apart from other northern warrior clans is that they rarely raid, they see justice and freedom as important traits for them.
To attack the empire and its allies is seen as a duty that every Albian has to take their part in.
While not being directly hostile to their Bretonian Borthers & Sisters in the south they despise them for their cowardace and willingness to subjugate to the empire.
The Powerful druid circles from the south also have a certain influence in the albian clan but are secondary to the leaders themselves.

Common Etiquette rules

-Nearly all Warriors will accept duells
-Easy to anger if their pride is hurt
-Strentgh and bravery are the most important virtues.
-Traitors and Oathbreakers are seen as the lowest in society

Common Dress code

The Albians are famous for their colofurl "Kits" a skirt that is worn by all genders and represents from which clan you are coming from.
Albians that dont belong to a clan dont have the right to wear these Kilts which lead to a certain class divide between Clans people and Free Folk.
The Freefolk mostly dresses simpler in furrs and leather.

Art & Architecture

The buildings of the Albias are built fro simple stone foundaitons and a lot of logs. These cabins are more spacious and warmer than the huts of the Bretonians in the south.
These Longhouses and Cabins are shared by clans and often also house a variety of animals.
The Albians are famed for their story telling and ancienct legends which they tell thsemlves for generations.

Common Myths and Legends

The first Albians entered Bretonia together with their God Dagda, after a huge defeat on the mainland Dagda only barely surived, saved by one of his sons he was brought to the isle.
Here Bretonia herself brought him to the higlands and offered him help.
It was here were Dagda fell in love with this godess that helped him in such a loving manner.
While their god healed the Albians started building their first settlements, some of them becoming permanent.

Beauty Ideals

The Albians see themselves as children of Dagda, and his loyal & brave warriors. As such classic ideals of beauty such as their brothers & sisters in the south have, are rejected and only strentgh of willl and body counts.
They however love to show what they conquer no matter if gold, jewels or skulls. Most of them also have giant blood and are very tall, which is interpreted as something good in their culture.
Most of them are red or black of hair and are normally taller than other humans in Bretonia.

Gender Ideals

All genders are treated relativly equal, while there are some tribes that definetly have some sexist policy most of the Clans see all as equal as long as they are strong.
