True Magic

True magic is any unexplainable force or event that occurs after accounting for individual elves' Gift.
This is just like how we imagine magic to exist in our world or other fantasy settings. Since Gifts are so common, they don't seem magical to elves like they do to us, leading to this distinction.
Many elves have heard tales of some feat of True Magic and they are often woven into local myths and legends. However, most elves interpret these parts of the myths as intervention by Nature, unexplained details to someone's gift, or as a general metaphor for otherwise plainly mechanical phenomena.

Manifestation

True Magic has no fixed rules about its appearance and elves wouldn't expect it to. A Gift can sometimes be perceived with the senses, but many gifts cannot. Elves that believe it is real have extended this expectation to True Magic.
Naturally, this leads to what many elves would consider "conspiracy theories," like the idea that True Magic is all around, but one just can't see it.
