Magic

Magic functions by drawing upon Soul energy through creative conceptualization of an idea. As a result, those with strong imaginations are usually more adept. Rarely, a person may be naturally talented as a result of artistic creativity. There are 3 distinct categories of magic. It should be noted that people with aphantasia cannot use magic.

Elemental Magic

By using elemental magic, one manipulates physical objects in a manner similar to telekinesis through the movement of their body without physical contact. In some cases, this also includes the generation of energy such as fire. Energy generated this way is a direct conversion of spirit energy into physical energy, such as fire or electricity. Unlike Alchemical magic, Elemental magic manipulates general ideologies of elements, not the actual chemical elements. As a result, the usage is more vaguely defined into types.Elemental magic is most common among both Aeris and Raposa.

Alchemical Magic

Similar to Elemental magic in theory, Alchemical magic functions by manipulating physical matter. However, it differs from Elemental magic in that it manipulates specifically the chemical elements (i.e. hydrogen, iron, carbon). In use, the element can be indirectly moved or changed in state or chemical bond. Proper study of the elements and practice is required to utilize each individual element. As a result, Alchemical magic is used primarily by some Aeris, with extremely devoted masters only being able to manipulate three or four chosen elements.

Codex Magic

Codex Magic primarily manipulates energy rather than matter. It uses a series of commands to create and manipulate energy in different forms. These commands can be used directly by a person, or they can be ascribed to physical objects to change their properties. It does not rely on soul energy, instead it draws on the creativity infused in the world itself. It is exclusive to the Chari.
