Purpose / Function
Heroics Oath is a superhero organisation focused on protecting humanity and addressing threats in a world shaped by advanced technology and evolving challenges. Its mission includes coordinating and supporting superheroes, promoting ethical behaviour, and maintaining order. The organisation also provides training and resources to its members while overseeing the responsible use of superhuman abilities. By establishing standards and fostering collaboration, Heroics Oath aims to ensure that superhuman activity contributes positively to society.
Alterations
The Heroics Oath headquarters is a striking architectural landmark consisting of two interconnected hexagonal structures that reflect the organisation’s evolution over time. The smaller hexagonal building serves as the original headquarters, a more modest facility initially designed to house the organisation’s core operations and leadership. As the organisation expanded to accommodate a growing number of recruits and the rapid development of its science and technology department, a taller hexagonal structure was constructed adjacent to the original building. This newer addition is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories, training facilities, and living quarters, providing the resources needed to support Heroics Oath’s increasingly complex mission. Together, the two buildings symbolize the organisation’s growth and adaptability, blending history with innovation.
Defenses
The building is packed to the brim with security cameras and alarms, so much so they have sixteen separate divisions just for security alone.
While the smaller building is free for anyone to walk into as needed, there’s still very tight security and most places within it are off limits to the public without express permission from Boss himself. The taller building is behind a secured gate, where keycards are required to use to enter.
History
Heroic’s Oath was formed in the year 2028 by a group of pioneering heroes and scientist Dr. Hiro Tanaka, determined to create a united front against emerging threats. They established a foundational code of honour that emphasised cooperation, responsibility, and the safeguarding of innocent lives. Over the centuries, Heroic’s Oath evolved in tandem with global technological advancements, gradually transforming from a modest assembly into a sprawling organisation. Early leaders laid the groundwork for extensive training programmes and scientific research, which allowed the group to grow in strength and influence.
One of the most influential figures in the organisation’s long history is Boss, whose rise to leadership occurred in 3956- exactly 100 years before the current year of 4056. Though not one of the original founders, Boss earned a reputation for strategic brilliance and a resolute commitment to the values set forth at the organisation’s inception. Under his leadership, Heroic’s Oath underwent significant reforms, including the expansion of its science and technology department, improved global coordination among chapters, and the establishment of new ethical guidelines to address challenges unique to an ever-advancing civilisation.
Throughout the millennia, Heroic’s Oath has faced numerous adversaries, but two supervillains in particular have left an indelible mark. The first was Thunderclash, a rogue technologist who harnessed experimental energy sources to destabilise entire regions. His campaigns of destruction tested Heroic’s Oath’s defensive capabilities, forcing the organisation to innovate rapidly in both tactical planning and resource development. Although Thunderclash was eventually defeated, his attacks prompted a reevaluation of how Heroic’s Oath prepares for large-scale emergencies.
The second, and current, enemy is Dr. Hypno, originally named Penelope, who is known for her ability to use hypnosis in an attempt to capture superheroes and turn them into obedient drones. Her motives are largely shrouded in secrecy, but it is widely believed that she seeks to create a powerful army under her complete control to guard her secret brothel project. The ongoing conflict with Dr. Hypno has driven Heroic’s Oath to focus even more on mental fortitude and advanced countermeasures, as traditional defence tactics prove less effective against her methods of subjugation.
Today, in the year 4056, Heroic’s Oath stands as a large, multifaceted institution with a vast network of members, research facilities, and training centres. Although many centuries have passed since its founding, the core ideals remain the same: to protect the world from ever-evolving dangers, champion unity, and uphold the original oath that has guided this institution since its earliest days.
Tourism
While 99% of the building is forbidden to enter to the public, there’s currently a small section in the original building where tourists can visit a little museum of sorts to learn about the history of the organisation.
