Ah yes, can't mistake that beating, valuable amount of Heart Stone down there for sure.Heart Stone is a mineral from Kaechaek that can be mined out of caverns in the Mountains. The stone is set in large veins that can be very profitable to those that find it and, though it takes a long time to refine, it is well known that heart stone is used in the more powerful arcane foci of the people of Kaechaek and is regularly traded with other nations for it's easy use once forged. The stone is also an important component in the creation of Gunblades and certain magical ammunition. Heart Stone is known for its thumping and beating sound when in large veins and hit by magic, though harvesting heart stone is an especially dangerous practice due to the unstable empowering nature of Heart Stone in large quantities. This leads to potential dangers for adventuring party's that employ large amount of magic and spellcasting in their missions as the heart stone can react in unpredictable ways. Heart stone, once refined, is a dark black marble like cylinder that either has an inner core glowing with gold if the heart stone was found in an area of the Quori, or a core of glowing purple if the heart stone was found in an area of the Nocta Mori. Heart Stone is used to make an arcane focus into a +1 focus and can also be built into a heavier necklace or bracelet form where it can absorb elemental arcane energy and protect the wielder before redirecting it.
