Chauris
Chauris is an aged and weathered former member of The Honour Blades who left their force in disgrace after his oath was broken when he was distracted and allowed an assassin wearing the markings of The Stop to enter and make an attempt on Emperor Honour's life.
The Incognitos met him in Varne Gate, specifically The Sapphire Mirage where he was taking part in a cage fight against The Black-Blooded Hunter and lost to her, the party spoke to him the next day and he told them of his failed oath and his desire to simply drink himself into oblivion to forget his disgrace.
The party notably figured out that the reason his oath broke wasn't because of his actions but, rather, because Emperor Honour was killed in the assassination after all.
