I'm telling you, it destroyed Brandt's mind! He has nothing but waking dreams and nightmares now since climbing that mountain. Seeing that incomprehensible monster broke him! Please, don't climb those mountains.

In a space where dreams from The Quori and nightmares from The Nocta Mori mix with such ferocious passion and otherworldly strength a true monster is born.  The Anygdala are legendary, myth-like creatures from within Kaechaek that are born, they are not truly understood and none know WHY they are spawned in such a manner, but there are four known Amygdala in Kaechaek in it's more remote regions where dreams and nightmares play and battle with far more potency and frequency. The amygdala is an unknown anomaly in Kaechaek, schism'd like much of the land but owing no loyalty to either the Quori or Nocta Mori that birthed it, those that claim to see the amygdala return to society with broken minds and scattered recollections meaning there are no reliable sources of information on the creatures apart from legend lore uses by powerful spellcasters.
