The Achar System

The Achar System is the stellar neighborhood in which Myzelis exists in the Prime Material. Certain aspects and features of the system are observable only through the use of technology or magic (or some combination thereof) but over the long history of Myzelans as a collective, far more than what is apparent to even keenest of eyes has been revealed through the efforts of astronomers throughout Realms.

"Several of the stars in the sky are the siblings of Myzelis, other planets in the Achar System. Five of the planets are distinctly visible at night whenever they are present in the sky, two of which are so bright that they can even be spotted by keen eyes, favorable conditions, and certain positions even during the day. Others are visible only sometimes at night, at certain times in their orbit. The rest cannot be seen by unaided eyes. Through the lenses of Serennarsyllfa and other places like it, we have been able to see and count these other worlds and other phenomena that would have otherwise remain hidden to us.   Different realms may know the planets by different names. The most commonly known names are, in order of those closest to Achar to furthest away; Raxë, Iztac, Galuren, Tyluene, Eliskilarme, Myzelis, Noresh, Hyduk, Sarnidus, Nyr'Palan, and I’arna Veșnică. As you might already be thinking from the sound, the names originate from many places. For some examples, Raxë is thought to come from ancient Eslaiqi, Iztac from Tlalli, and I’arna Veșnică from Veșnic Draconic.   A series of rings, perhaps not unlike the one that encircles Myzelis, is spread between Hyduk and Nyr'Palan, with the densest bands concentrated closer to Sarnidus. We know not the origin of this immense asteroid field. Ideas range from it being a great host of transitory comets that have join in the same great precession, to it being the remnants of a planet — or multiple planets — much like our ring from the debris of one of our two moons, Talchen, that were destroyed in the violence of the Sundering of Achar into the Mhelydraud.   There is a phenomena at the limits of the system, a luminous haze referred to as Archaral Radiance, that is also thought to be the result of that same Sundering. Although difficult to directly observe without special equipment, the presence of the Radiance can be witnessed most dramatically when it wreaths Nyr'Palan in a corona of auroras."
