Reindeer (Flyers)
Santa’s Christmas Reindeer AKA Santa’s Flyers are originally from The Plane of Christmas Mystics. But like the elves, some are born in the Valley. All reindeer fly but some are called to work pulling sleighs. Some sleighs are taxis for elves. Others are used as cargo sleighs carrying toys and goodies to the barns. They’re kept quite busy during the year.
The reindeer are fed, groomed, and trained by elves who were taught the proper way while they were in school (@ the Institute for Merriness Studies).
The Flyers and all Twelve Polar Horses live in the Claus and Christmas Stables (Reindeer Residences) situated away from the city. It is a big development with the stables themselves as huge. It also includes Flyer Flight Academy.
Nearby, the sleighs are kept in Santa’s Sleigh Coach Housing. There is a Sleigh Garage and Wash & Fix Shop. All Christmas and Royal Sleighs are stored here ready to go on Santa’s orders except if they are in the museum or at Claus Palace.
All reindeer receive a medal, The Medal of Children’s Hope, that is awarded to all as they remember the original beacon of Goodwill, Hope Love, Joy, and Peace.
The Gift of Empathic Navigation – This gift looks into children’s hearts to see how they truly are (for reindeer and Santa). With other information gathered, this allows Santa to make his list. This allows him to see if they are only traumatized or are truly evil. If evil, he prays for their soul. It is used to also let them know when a child is needing some Christmas Cheer.
The Gift of Invisibility – This gift makes the sleigh and reindeer invisible to Man. It was important on Christmas Eve and Pre-New High Age of Ancient Power, this gift makes. They still use this throughout the year.
The Gift of Flight: All of Santa’s Reindeer have the natural ability to fly (esp. after 2020). Their flying comes from their belief within. Naturally, the Song of Christmas opens up their antlers to catch the children's pure joy of Christmas. This helps the reindeer fly faster and gives them a lift.
The Power of Immortality and these gifts come from Christmas Spirit and Ancient Magic.
The reindeer are fed a healthy diet of Lichen, oats, hay, and corn.
