Queens Boreal and Austral
Queens Boreal and Austral are Mystical Energy Spirits. These twin sisters are the Northern Lights and Southern Lights AKA “Sky Ley Lines”. They also have a feminine humanoid form. This allows them to come down and enjoy the mystical community or for official business.
However, both can speak in aurora form.
Their power also comes from the belief in Ancient Power and the spirits. Queens Boreal and Austral happen to be the only Guardians of Childhood that are rumored to be deep within the mythos of both Fathers’ Christmas and Winter. These two have Father Winter and Mother Nature as their parents.
While they usually do not transform into humanoids, they both attended many Council meetings, including the discussions around magic leaving (later known as Emergency Order 5775).
Queen Boreal also appeared for Nicholas upon his arrival to the Artic. And she later appeared to. They were going to return magic back into the world.
Between 1845 and 2021, the sisters do not come down with the exception of Queen Boreal who changed forms to show something to Baxter and Nicholas.
Not much is known about them.
Powers and Abilities
Ancient and Mystical Empowerment/Affinity: The Guardians are empowered by mystical places and the Ley Lines. They are also empowered by the Ancient Civilizations, Camelot, and events that led to the modern era of AEP. Magic Amplification: The Guardians of Childhood are stronger near powerful ley lines (such as those that converge at either Pole (North and South)). They also are stronger together. Each of them are enhanced by the strength of belief in the spirit. It helps when they return some power back into the Earth. When Ancient Earthly Power’s Grand High Age dawns, AEP is returned to the level it once was. This means each Guardian now has amplified powers (including Baxter who unlocks some new abilities) and all species now have full strength in their powers. The ability to speak in ancient tongues and that mortals can see mystical creatures and supernatural occurrences. The Aurora Lights Personification: These two sister twins are the embodiment of the Auroras. Aurora Manipulation “Aurorakinesis”: As part of them, the sisters shape and manipulate their section (Northern or Southern).
