In Terr'ahna, Crystals are a very special, magical item, and a highly prized resource. They're mined specifically for their ability to store magical energy, known as Mystia, much like a battery. In the past, they were a resource used only by wizards and sorcerers, bards and druids, and all sorts of other spellcasters, for their use as a focus to cast their spells. Nowadays, as technology has advanced through out the world, they have become highly prized by governments and people the world over, as they are now used to provide Mystia to all to power devices such as torches, and other every day items, a lot like electricity.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

Crystals are worn or equipped by spellcasters and act as a sort of battery, in which the spell caster may, during daily preparations, charge the Crystal with a bit of their own magical power, known as Mystia, and later may be activated to use this charged Mystia in order to cast spells. These Crystals must be Invested before they may be activated. When Charged they emit a soft glow of whatever colour of Mystia they are charged with.
Activate: [1] Interact; Effect: Activate before casting a spell. When activated, the stored Mystia becomes available to spend to cast the spell.
