Elysian Lattice
This is a barrier that was created surrounding Elysium, where all gods reside, that prevents them from leaving the plane in their complete form. While it allows tiny actions to squeeze through, the larger the action the more energy required and at a certain point it simply blocks more powerful actions. This effectively removed gods from the daily lives of mortals, aside when they were called upon or exerted enough effort to partially step through for a short while, albeit in very limited capacity.
Gods that push against the barrier to affect the outside planes directly feel intense pain and have their powers temporarily drained, the greater the push causing more drastic effects. Prayer from mortals, including general worship and power granted through such, is not affected by this barrier.
