Orcs of the Misty Mountains

The Misty Mountains have long been the home to many bands of Orcs. They have resided here from the most Elder of days. Mount Gundabad has more than once over the ages been held by these creatures. The population ebbs and flows, and their is no central organization to them. However, they do seem to overall work on the goal of making the Misty Mountains impassable to other races.
Following the 2nd age these bands were very depleted, and it was not until 1300 T.A. that their population began to rise again. With the awakening of DURIN'S BANE they saw a sharp increase as the mines of MORIA became available to them. Since then bands have split off and found their own delvings, particularly around the various passes through the mountains.
