Walkers
Weapons engineers in the Inzalu Empire have invented a new kind of transportation, labeled "Walkers."
Walkers are magic-powered steampunk mech suits. They're relatively small (for mechs) standing at about two stories tall, and really operate more as extensions of the bearers' limbs than as full vehicles. They were developed as a means of traversing the jungles of the southern coast, which had previously been too thick for their wheeled vehicles and their airships (and too... retaliatory... to cut down altogether, because magical jungles have a tendency to be sentient). The machines are powered by a core of Godstone, which never runs out, though they do have a capacity. Suits with larger Godstone cores can support magical weapons systems (concussion guns, fire blasters and flame swords, etc.) but most make do with standard non-magical black powder cannons.
One note of caution, though? Black powder and Godstone do not mix. Every time a black powder weapon pierces the Walker's core, you can expect violently explosive results.
