Godstone
Godstone (also known as "Spectrite" on Pele) is a substance made out of condensed Magic. It is highly volatile and can be harmful if interacted with when raw, but when worked properly can infuse magical properties into objects.
Properties
Godstone is identifiable by its iridescent color-shifting crystals. Larger crystals are also known to have a visible space-warping effect around them, as if viewed through a slightly misshapen looking glass.
One of Godstone's most notable properties is that it produces a continuous magical output that never fades. For this reason, it is often used to empower unliving objects in various ways.
Uses
Enchanting
Infusing Godstone into an inanimate object and then creating a magical effect that draws power from the Godstone is the most sure way to create an unfading item enchantment. The substance is rare, however, so such items are hard to come by and extremely expensive.
Sorcery
Weight for weight, Godstone is a far more powerful power source for sorcery than lifesblood, and does not require any bloodshed to access. This makes it the far preferred focus for sorcerers, despite the cost. Its reusability also proves invaluable.
Power source
Inzalu magitech (Walkers, etc.) draw from a steady Godstone core. However, larger tech needs more Godstone than is affordable. See Inzalu Crystals below.
Inzalu Crystals
The Inzalu on Pele have recently found a method of manufacturing replica Godstone. These crystals look nearly identical and carry many of the same properties--the only physical difference is that they lack the warping effect of the original.
Inzalu Crystals, however, do not generate magic indefinitely. They will fade over time, and will fade faster if overdrawn. However, for all that they are expensive and difficult to create, Godstone is rare enough to make the process worth it.
Chances are, if you find a chunk of magical mineral in Inzalu lands, it is Inzalu Crystal, not true Godstone.
