University of Obsidian
The University is the premiere scholarly institution in the Triamic Empire. It is located in the Vale of Cosmos.
Obsidian Tower
The tallest tower in the Empire is the Obsidian Tower in the Vale of Cosmos. From base to top, it stands at 256 feet tall (Not counting the fact that it stands in a location that is about 1,000 ft above sea level already). It was created a thousand years ago by the Wights with only minor modern modification. It should be noted that magic is believed to be responsible for the fact that it continues to stand, as tall and as old as it is. Architects and magical scholars alike travel to the Vale to study its composition, but the technique has never been replicated.
The Celestial Court of House Voldr currently uses it as a physical meeting location. The tower is also currently being used as offices and a library as part of the University of Obsidian.
Academic Term
To account for the Vale's infamously impassable winters, the university's term begins in the autumn rather than in the spring (the beginning of the calendar year).
