    The Heavenly War
    Disaster / Destruction

The Heavenly War was one that embroiled the entire continent. Starting in the capital city of Fraon, a war broke out between the gods and mortals. Blood was shed throughout the continent and many lives were lost. Due to this fact, Enera, the god of life, made a brave sacrifice that brought life back to the continent. This allowed the scarred parts of the nation to grow back again, otherwise nature itself may have never returned. The Heavenly War is shrouded in mystery about why it happened, and what happened exactly. But what is known, is that under 1/5 of the World's population survived.

    The Lizard Hunts
    Cultural event

In the year 203 AW, the world was loosely configured in small cities and towns, excluding cities that managed to somewhat survive the heavenly war. A common sentiment in these places was fear of the unknown. After the war that destroyed the world, many people were filled with mistrust and fear, which tended to lean toward the maltreatment of minority groups, particularly those with cold blood. During the war of the gods, Lizardfolk and any race of Saurian blood fled to the caves and the Underdark, in search of a place to hide from the wrath of the heavens. Many people considered this cowardice, and the sentiment of not only hatred towards the Saurians appeared, but also fear, for they were an unknown, variable that some people were afraid of. So when some Saurians attempted to return to their homeland above ground, they were driven away and hunted down. Some cities would even host "Lizard Hunts" in which they would delve into the caves to slaughter any cold-blooded people. This is the time period in which the phrases "Scaleback", "God's Mistake", "Coward-folk" and other phrases were created. The Lizard Hunts were an immoral culling of a race of innocent people, that spurred an event that would change the world forever.

    The March of Kings
    Founding

The March of Kings is an event in which the simple, loosely made locations around the recovering world of Jugen, would become more established, all due to the man known as Nortyx, Pride of the Depths. During the Lizard Hunts, there was a city in the Underdark called Kaifwright, a city filled with Saurian species. A young man named Nortyx supposedly lived there, and on May 11th, 207 AW, the city fell under attack. A city within the Tundra of Metaric that was called Yorb, was filled with religious zealots, who pledged themselves to annihilate every single "God's Mistake" and purge the world of their "Evil". The group called themselves the Inquisition, and this organization would one day evolve into the Inquisition of Metaric that we know today. When the Yorbian Inquisition, led by Gormas Vladiskov plunged into the depths of the Underdark, the Patrolling Guards of Kaifwright came upon their force and were slaughtered. One guard escaped and told the story to the rest of Kaifwright, and particularly to a group of nobles called the Brass Legion. The Brass Legion ran the brass mines, but under the shadow of their operations, they run a drug smuggling and slave trading ring through the mines. Commonly, the slaves were humans who attempted to Lizard Hunt them, or Goblins who tried to rob them. Within the Brass Legion was a young man named Nortyx Greyhide, and according to legend, he joined the organization after getting into a street fight with some members. The leader of the Brass Legion, Kazyx Pronto took him under his wing as a fighter and a bouncer. Nortyx heard of the news about the Lizard Hunt, and this is where the legend grows slightly blurry. Supposedly, the Brass Legion moved to repel the Inquisition but were sent back with many casualties. Nortyx at some point grew tired of the passivity of the town and gathered up a rebellious force of townsfolk to assault the Inquisitors. After defeating the Brass Legion they took over the city of Kaifwright, and Nortyx and his rebel forces waited for a time to strike. At some point, Snortyx met a bard named Miter, a kobold who was very popular for his tales of heroism and hope. He wrote a tale about Nortyx, and the rebel forces of Kaifwright, that inspired others to join the fight. Nortyx used this wave of inspiration and determination to create his army, the Legion of the Godless. The Legion of the Godless defeated the Inquisition in a bloody ruthless battle, and the new King of Saurians, Nortyx rose up from the depths, becoming the hero of the Underdark and the savior of the Godless. This was the first March of Kings, and the first Worldly Monarch was introduced to the world. Nortyx destroyed the city of Yorb, and everything on the island. He proceeded to take the ships and sail to Salt Cove, declaring it the new home of the cold bloods.

Lux Tenebris Bellum / War of Dark and Light
    Military: War

The War Began on August 11th, at 10 in the morning. The Holy Council sent the declaration of war, and within minutes, the Knothic side began their full-scale invasion of the country of Fraon. The military might of Knothic was heavy, and its first invasion was led by a squadron called the Spearhead Offensive. The Spearhead Offensive, according to legend, was comprised entirely of Blackguard soldiers trained since birth to end the rule of Fraon and its religious indignation. Leading the Spearhead Squadron was a Blackguard Division captain, and although it is unknown what division he may have led, according to survivors of the war, he was described to be a Dullahan. A Dullahan is an undead knight, who charges into the battle with no head, and a skeleton stead. In some cultures, they called him The Reaper. The Holy Council, shocked by this slaughter taking place at the border, sent an elite force of Holy Knights, in particular, The Divine General and his 4 captains. These 5 men, met the full might of the Spearhead Offensive at a town called Bromhild, slightly Northwest of Olkwell. The Dullahan met with the Divine General, David Machdraw at the entrance of the town, where they supposedly discussed terms of surrender from both sides. According to a Fraonic Military Advisor by the name of Willy Jorm, General Machdraw grew tired of the Dullahan's disregard for his own squadron's safety and the following exchange took place; Machdraw: Sir, you cannot possibly think that with your squadron of twenty knights can defeat me, my captains and their soldiers beneath them?! Dullahan: I believe that no matter what is said within this meeting, peace will not be met, and according to your superiors, blood is what you seek. We can grant that wish for you, but only if our wish is granted as well. Machdraw: And what is it that you wish for Captain? Dullahan: I do not wish General, I merely follow the will of my master, and my master wishes for you and your paltry religion to squander the good graces of this world no longer. (Passage End). Following this conversation, the General sent his advisors away and the Dullahan allowed civilians to escape, then they fought. The Holy Knights lost, however, the Spearhead Offensive suffered a loss of roughly 14 individuals. The Dullahan and his six remaining knights continued to rampage across the plains of Fraon. A new Divine General was appointed in David Machdraw’s place, named Fulson Kormick. He was a member of the Justicars until he was transferred over to the Holy Knights. He led a division of the army that was created in panic due to the war called Aegis Caelum, or Shield of God. The Shield of God swiftly approached the town of Trowood to intercept the Spearhead Offensive, where a battle called Deaths Door took place. The Dullahan and his remaining Knights fought long and hard but were inevitably defeated by the Shield of God. The Holy Council used this time to reinforce their borders, which were now pushed back further South than they had hoped for.   Please read the rest in the related article, Lux Tenebris Bellum Extended

Archons Awakening / Incursio Terrent / The Religious Reckoning
    Era beginning/end

A boom was heard across the world, and they awakened. They called themselves The Cult of Archon, devil worshippers. They swiftly moved through every city, quickly dispatching those in positions of power, especially within religious sects or organizations. They spread a message, the first non-celestial deity has arrived, not from the heavens, but from the depths of hell. This event caused an uproar across the world, in demand that the gods of each pantheon answer the questions that they had. And yet, no answer was uttered. The Awakening of Archon and his announcement that he was a deity shook the world, however, many people denied his claim, which led to the creation of the term Patron. The term Patron meant, one who had the power of Gods, but could not reach the heavenly plane within which they roam. Furthermore, in the wake of his awakening, many Patrons rose from hiding, or even imprisonment in order to gain the power they have always hungered for, or perhaps to stop those who seek it.

    The Salt War
    Military: War

As Kogeki began to send ships to harvest resources in Othn, Metaric took these ships down. This caused anger from Kogeki, and after some political distress, Kogeki sent a letter of peace to Metaric. Along with that letter, Kogeki sent ninja to spy on the leaders in Metaric's capital. Somehow, Metaric found said spies and captured them. After a long time of silence from the spies, Kogeki received a package from Metaric. A box with tortured and scarred corpses arrived at their doorstep. Kogeki waged war on Metaric and began preparations. Although Metaric had a larger military force and more supplies for war, Kogeki had an unknown ally. Salt Cove was closely knit with Kogeki, they traded quite often and it seems as though the Scaleback Pirates were allied with the Founder of Kogeki. This allowed Kogeki to defeat moving Metaric forces in naval battles, which the inquisitors had no experience with. The 1-month long war was concluded with a battle in the city of Cutlass. The main force of the inquisition was placed there, and they had finally arrived at a city they could pillage. As the force walked into the city in the dead of night, they were all eliminated. The last thing that the enemies heard, was the sound of thunder. This battle was called Oni no machibuse, or Demon's Ambush. And after this battle, the forces of Metaric sent a letter of peace, and all was resolved.

In Kelruhm, sat utop the mountains, at the peak, was the Iammaroth Dynasty. It was considered the pinnacle of Dwarven Society, yet the excellence of this society was at the expense of the rest of Kelruhm. This caused anger within both sides of the Twin Valley, which led to Vamburim, a Gaddeover Valley City, and Thomolihm, an Ostunium Valley City, to create the Declaration of Claerodran. These two cities rallied all of the Twin Valleys to raid the Iammaroth Dynasty and put an end to King Julius Iammaroth.

    The Fall of Ravenrune
    Disaster / Destruction

Super unorganized story, ill tune it up another time (for now, just read it if you want, or don't, it doesn't matter much.)
Within the halls of the Ravenrune family, for decades they have been focused on one thing, strength. Ever since Simon Ravenrune became the world’s “Strongest Swordsman” long ago, the Ravenrune family has been at the top of the world in terms of swordsmanship, and the children who emerge from the family are often considered prodigies. In the Year 1582, the state of the Ravenrune family was in a tense place. The Patriarch, Simon Ravenrune the 3rd remarried to a woman with no noble blood, causing his ex-wife Patricia Ravenrune, and her side of the family to become furious. Simon had 3 children with Patricia, 16-year-old Kai Ravenrune, 17-year-old James Ravenrune, and 15-year-old Julia Ravenrune. Kai and James were joined at the hip, one year apart. They grew up very close but were considered cruel by the servants of the household. James, the older brother was considered the one with the highest potential with the sword, but Kai also had a fair ability as well. Julia was thought to be better than both of them, but she was not a candidate for Patriarch, and therefore less relevant in the political scheme of things. Simon’s brother Julius had two children, William Ravenrune and Abigail Ravenrune, both 20 years of age. William and Abigail were called prodigies in the sword, and William was considered the main candidate for the role of the next Patriarch. When Simon remarried, as mentioned prior, the side of the family that supported Patricia, cousins, and other noble houses, began to plot against Simon and sought to push James into power in Simon’s place. Julius Ravenrune was informed of the conspiration against the Patriarch, so he informed his brother. Around this time, Simon had a child with his new wife, however, they hid the announcement from the rest of the family. Simon announced to the entire extended family of Ravenrune, all of his siblings, cousins, advisors, and children that he was aware of certain hostility brewing within the family. He stated that should any complaint against him should be taken directly to him, and if they truly seek to remove him from the patriarch position, they would have to take it by force. The Ravenrune family was shocked, as Simon was oftentimes considered the Pacifist Patriarch due to his kind nature and refusal to participate in the conflict. A subsidiary-family member named Ulysses Poirot stepped up and challenged Simon. Simon accepted, and in mere seconds, Ulysses was sent back by a massive, blinding blast of light. The members of the gathering were shocked, and the hall stood quiet for some time. Julius ordered everyone to leave, and from this moment on, the house regained some composure, until roughly three years later when Simon revealed that he had a son. In a gala hosted by the Ravenrune family, Simon would reveal his son to the world, however, the son would be hidden, not attending the gala. He refused to name him, and he refused to say where we were. The Patricia faction of the family began to scramble, and the hunt began. Assassins hired by the Patricia faction searched through the castle day and night for the child, yet they couldn’t find him until they delved down to the ritual grounds. At the bottom of the Ravenrune Castle, there is a large tomb called the Ravenrune Ritual Grounds, where the patriarchs of the family are buried. Within the burial grounds, there is a large room named the Heart of the Raven, where a large raven statue looks over a ritual circle. The assassins file in and see Simon Ravenrune sitting within the circle, they leap at him to kill him, but Julius deflects the blows, and defends his brother. According to the surviving assassins, Julius defended Simon within the ritual circle for over an hour, until he died from blood loss. The assassins moved toward Julius, but he was done performing the ritual, and he disappeared from the scene. After that, there is no information on what happened regarding the whereabouts of Simon Ravenrune the 3rd or the unnamed son. Since then, the family has been taken over by William, the son of Julius, and Patricia Ravenrune has been placed in jail. During the assassin's attempt on the life of both Julius and Simon, a beast was summoned by an unknown mage to destroy both the castle and the territory under the Ravenrune rule. This beast was stopped by the current Shogun of Kogeki, Nagi Inishio, and his brother who was, in life, considered as the Prodigy of War, Shinji Inishio. Shinji passed in the battle, and Nagi Inishio defeated the beast using the opportunity his brother created. It is said that the knights of Ravenrune have been seen searching across Kogeki for the lost son of the family if he was found, he would have a claim to grasp the throne of kings, but most theorize that he was killed by the beast defeated by the Shogun.

    The Knothic-Badlands Invasion
    Military: War

On the border of Knothic, a full force invasion of orcs from the Badlands came flooding in. The Knothic Government quickly dispatched a large amount of Blackguard soldiers to stop the invasion. This may have caused a crime influx due to focus on the war, but the specific effects are unknown. The orcs supposedly were led by a primal chieftain who wielded some type of dark forbidden magic, according to the 1st Division Captain. After many days of fighting, the Chieftain was slayed by the 8th Division of the Blackguard, supposedly led by the former Royal Crown Division General, Colt Penndragon.
