The Shogun of Kogeki
In the land of Kogeki, one man holds power equal to that of the heavens. The Shogun of Kogeki is a role that has been upheld since the March of Kings, with the first Shaman, Akira Fukumoto. His line of leadership ended in the year 855 AW when the Shogun Kimura Fukumoto left his seat of power and the secondary bloodline took the throne. The bloodline that came into power after them was Inishio, by the man Aoi Inishio. Aoi Inishio ruled the land of Kogeki with a loose rule, however, he helped create what we know today as the Unbreakable Alliance, an alliance between Kogeki and Salty Cove. As time progressed the Inishio bloodline settled into power, and have become a more concrete and respected family, especially with the current Shogun, Nagi Inishio. Nagi Inishio is the most well-respected shogun within the scope of Kogeki history, perhaps second only to the first shaman. Nagi Inishio is a 36-year-old human with white hair and a large build. As a child, he was always very kind and well-known to the people of Shi, the capital city where he lived. His older brother Shinji Inishio was well known as the greatest warrior in terms of potential, and due to that Nagi was shunted down the path of politics. He rejected the path he was forced down and oftentimes would be chased by the guards around the town, while he tried to hide in bars. When Nagi turned 18, his father, the Shogun Kino Inishio would die from Mana Burn and Nagi would have to take his place on the throne. Within 2 months of being the Shogun, the event known as The Fall of Runeraven took place. Nagi heard the news of the Ravenrune family, the family that is considered "Blessed by the Sword" and how the family was in a large-scale inner conflict. Nagi and his brother went to the Ravenrune family castle, where a large battle had begun between Simon Ravenrune the 3rd and assassins hired by someone who opposed him as the patriarch. The assassins would be taken down swiftly, however, a more looming threat would appear. A beast called the Amalgam of Light would be summoned by a powerful mage who escaped from the scene. The people who lived within the territory were terrorized by this creature, however, Nagi and his brother Shinji fought against the beast. In the battle, Shinji passed away, allowing Nagi to defeat the beast, saving the country. Since then, Nagi was truly considered the Shogun and worshipped as a hero of the country. However, many individuals consider that even if Nagi Inishio is a good Shogun, he will never be of the Fukumoto blood, but more importantly, he was never chosen by the spirits. In fact, many people say that the spirits dislike him, not specifically, but his bloodline, as if the Inishio line is cursed. Some scholars believe that this has to do with the rumored legend of "The Seat of the Emperor", and that a child must be born blessed by the spirits, skilled in leadership, and strong enough to lead Kogeki to a bright future.
