Stool
A stool is a rectangular stone or ice slab supported by four short legs, upon which a Stenza sits cross-legged. They come in several models, accommodating one person up to around twenty. The longer models are often lowered and built into rooms as wide, low steps, as seen in the Council Room in Strares.
Manufacturing process
The primary platform is carved out of either rock or ice and worked into a smooth rectangle with a fixed width of around forty-six centimeters, but of varying length depending on how many people the stool is meant to accommodate (ninety-one centimeters for one person and on up). Some can stretch the length of a room, and are often built into the room at the time of its construction.
My butt hurts at the thought of how hard/cold these stools would be. I suppose that's not a problem for Stenza though! XD
It's like seiza in Japan. You grow up doing it, or you get used to it over time.
