Lakhta is the deity of journeys and the unknown. This can apply to literal journeys as well as metaphorical ones, such as life transitions. Positioned at true north, they can be seen as a marker or arrow showing the way toward adventure. (There is a key distinction made between this type of journey, for exploration, and the journeys under the domain of Migration, which have more to do with survival and follow long-established routes.) This is the source of the traditional ù used to refer to ships.
In modern times, Lakhta's status as deity of the unknown is thought to place the Lawgiver AI under their protection. They also figure in some Spacefarers' Superstitions and are the subject of a cult on Crash Base, due to the isolated nature of 4457E, as well as its mission.
