Water Genasi

Water genasi are one of the species of Morn. Their homeland is Torren Isle, or Nepta, in southern Nilandra. Water genasi evolved due to their close proximity to the location where the primordial water titan, Seidon, was imprisoned during Creation. Before The Collapse, the ocean around Torren Isle was where the boundary between Morn and the elemental plane of water was at its weakest. Water genasi developed their abilities after generations of living on Torren Isle.
After the Collapse and with the disappearance of the oceans, the influence of the plane of water on Torren Isle appears to have weakened. Generations of water genasi on the island have seen their abilities slowly fade. Today, most water genasi do not look much different from humans and have few if any elementally influenced abilities. Rarely, water genasi may still be born with unusually high elemental traits more similar to those of their ancestors, such as blueish skin, however the majority of water genasi today are indistinguishable from humans.
