Dorlon

The capital of Welton  and seat of its king. The city is marked by its large stone marble buildings and gargantuan ports along the Feller Canal. Although the east side is made of stone bricks, marble parapets, and exqusitly details gargoyles, the western side of the canal is made of old wooden buildings, grizzled shady warehouses, and hastily constructed shanty towns.

Demographics

Most of the population is made up of Weltish Humans. but a small percentage of other races have taken home in Southam.

Government

The government is a is autocratic oligarchy. While the King has most of the power, there are six ruling families that oftne control the strings from behind the scenes, they are a part of a council that advises the king. This groups is know as The Six Dukes they include the Grandmacy Family, The Horthol Family, The Smennolock Family, The Trinity Family, The Fitzgerald Family. and The Pennytrade Family.

Infrastructure

A bustling canal makes this city a hot bed for trade. Paved roads makr most of the city, and a fully operational aquaduct and sewer system is contained within its walls and below its streets.

Districts

Southham- South Ham is divided into two parts. The section that rests along the river, is made of shanty houses. Splintered wood, faded shinggles slidding off the roofs, and mud lined walkways. The dirty musky smog of red lavender permeates the air, and theivery is rampant. The other part are the wealthy farmers with acers of well maintained, fertile farm lands.
Westham- West Ham is the main residential section of the city for the middle class residents. Successful merchants and artisans home here, and the area is relatively safe. THe hosues while old, possess a charming tudor style, of exposed wooden beams and rustic stonework with blue shingled roofs.
Feringston- Filled to the brim with travlers, socialites, drinkers and dinners, Ferringston is where the Nobility and lowers houses convene, converse, and experience culture. The guild artisans and shops are frequently found here, along with the Opera House. a few dozen taverns are dotted along the road. It is characterized by the mixture of wood and stone architecture, steeply pitched roofs, stone chineys, surrounded by rustic stone fences.
New Chapel- New Chapel is the industrial center of the city. The main harbor rests on the western portion, and a plethora of warehouses and factories dot the south. Black plumes of smoke rise from the chimneys, and soot covered workers sluggishly walk the sidewalks.
White Hearth- The most eastern part of the city, Whitehearth is home to the wealthiest inhabitants. located here is Krist castle, the seat of Weltish king, Margol University, and a few other noble estates. Safe, gated, and heavily guarded, Whitehearth is the political and social center of the city. It is characterized by white stone buildings, large green hedges, and brick roads.
