A Long Standing Grudge

Aralmeni had mentioned seeing the clan name Boradrak before at one of the temples to Ctenmillar, set high in the mountains where dwarves would pay homage to the fires of Ctenmillar's forge (the sun) and leave out works of craft for him to view. Followers were allowed to take items that were needed and place new items in their place. She took him to see it where he found Grudgetaker, a maul created by Bolvaic's grandfather.   The maul was able to take "grudges", where the user could place a named creature into the maul where it would do extra damage against that specific creature. It was discovered that Bolvaic's grandfather had placed the name of a Frost Giant, Fulskorri, into the maul and intentionally left it behind to "get rid" of his grudge so that he could move on with his family.   Discovering his grandfather's grudge, Bolvaic took it upon himself to settle it.   The party headed north to Port Raven, where they discovered that the Northlander raiders were paying a tithe to Fulskorri to keep the mists that protected the illicit trade of the raiders from the Daoine navy and privateers. Following the tithe, the party discovered that it was collected by a White Dragon, Blindglide. The party followed the dragon to Fulskorri's lair.   Calling them out to fight, the party had difficulty with the white dragon staying in flight, but ultimately Bolvaic took the swing that slew Fulskorri, settling his grandfather's debt, and then fell from the white dragon who was then taken down by the rest of the party.   The party recovered and melted out Blindglide's hoard that was encased in ice in the cavern. However, with the white dragon's magic no longer altering the region, the mist that protected Port Raven dissipated and was gone.
