Captain Xala Ja'Prohn

General Xala Ja'Prohn (a.k.a Captain Ja'Prohn)

(zah'-lah zsah-pro'n), , is a Davrin Elf born in The Red Desert during an era long past.

General Xala Ja'Prohn is a historical figure modestly remembered among the higher Houses of Sivaraus, though many mid-to-low Houses and most commoners have forgotten her name and role. Those who remember recall most her unshakeable loyalty in serving the Valsharess for the whole of her life. She played key roles in executing Her Will, leading Her Armies, winning the The Great Cavern from the Black Dragon, and helping to establish the earliest settlement of Sivaraus in The Deepearth. They do not, however, associate her with a Desert.

There is speculation that the Prime, who formed the Red Sisters, was inspired by Xala's service and sought to fill the gap upon her passing, for the General held great influence with the Queen while standing apart from the Priestesses of Braqth.

Most of what has been suggested about Xala by name has occurred from experiences Sirana has had in Reverie after being subjected to a Queen's compulsion, to prior to starting her mission on the Surface.

The Valsahress of Sivaraus has mentioned Xala by name in recent times, although calling her Captain rather than the only rank she'd ever held in the Deepearth: the General. This was in the hearing of Headmaster Phaelous; General Xala is an ancestor of both him and his grandsire, Taneous JaProhn.

In dreams, Sirana has stood in Xala's place, living and serving as a Davrin who appears to have been a confidant and trusted guard for the Queen's Daughter, Ishuna. After having been subjected to the Valsharess's wrath for an unknown failure in service, Xala was sent into the Desert as punishment, injured and without supplies. While out in the wilderness, she appears to have met both the mysterious trader Toushek and a young Zauyrian Human man, named Cris-ri-phon-ri-phon.

There is little more known about this Davrin Elf at this point in Sister Seekers.

Tales of Miurag: The Desert is a standalone novel which features Xala Ja'Prohn and other Desert characters. It is available to patrons supporting the author at Etaski's Patreon, and soon to be published in May 2023.
